EMERGENCY MEDICINE RESIDENCY MISSION
The mission of this training program is to provide the highest quality education to physicians to prepare them to plan and provide the highest quality Emergency Medical Services in both community and academic medical center settings. Inherent in this plan is the attainment of eligibility of these physicians to become board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine following completion of the program.
CRITERIA FOR RESIDENT SELECTION
Each resident at the time of residency matriculation must:
RESIDENT SELECTION PROCESS
All applicants must apply directly through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All supporting documents must be submitted through ERAS. After receipt of these items, a selection committee made up of the Program Director and selected faculty reviews the application.
Selected applicants are invited for an interview. At the interview at least two faculty members as well as the Program Director and the Chief Resident, formally evaluate the applicant. They submit written evaluations of the applicant at that time with the recommendation regarding acceptance.

- Be a graduate of an AOA accredited college of Osteopathic Medicine
- Be a member in good standing of the AOA throughout their term of training
- Be licensed to practice Osteopathic Medicine in accordance with national and local jurisdictions
- Sign an annual residency contract
